GEOMETRY/ GEOMETRY H
|
Geometry teaches about size and shape, congruence, similarity, and transformations. It deals with points, lines, planes, and other geometric concepts in two and three dimensions. Special emphasis will be given to triangles, as well as quadrilaterals and circles. Students will be able to find perimeter, area, and volume. The course will explore the logical basis of mathematical reasoning as seen in proofs.
Geometry Honors presents the geometry course at a deeper level of understanding. Topics will be pursued in greater depth, with additional exploration of related ideas. Greater emphasis will be placed on proof.
